Deborah Wake NZRN

Clinic Owner/ Nurse Therapist

Deborah Wake has worked in the Appearance Medicine industry for over 20 years. She spent the first 18 of those years working at the largest Plastic Surgery, Dermtology and Vein Specialist clinic in Hamilton. Deborah was responsible for developing the Appearance Medicine side of the practice and was responsible for introducing new procedures and techniques to the clinic.

For the last 8 years she has been both a national and international trainer for advanced techniques on botulinum toxin treatment, and also in the use of Swiss made Anteis range of dermal fillers. She has a special interest in volumising and sculpting faces to replace lost volume through aging, and optimising people's own beauty regardless of age. She has been personally trained and utilises techniques from world renowned plastic surgeon Arthur Swift. Understanding of the aging face is essential to be able to carry this out successfully. Deborah not only has this skill but also teaches others. Her clients often call her "an artist".

Scleortherapy for the treatment of spider veins on the legs is another of Deborah's specialties, as well as 20 years' experience with lasers and IPLs.

Toni Kelly NZRNComp

Nurse Therapist

With 21 years nursing experience and having worked together at the Tristram Clinic some years ago, Deborah was aware of Toni’s special interest in the industry, so along with her experience as a plastic surgeon’s practice nurse, she was the ideal candidate when Deborah was looking for someone to join her in setting up the new clinic.

Toni already had previous experience in the use of high end cosmeceuticals and peels, and has since extended this knowledge and practical skills to become the clinic ‘skin’ expert. She has mastered the use of the Woods lamp for accurate skin analysis, and is responsible for consultations and skin rejuvenation programmes for all clients. Her knowledge of the ranges of products is extensive.

She has a special interest in Dysport® treatments, including advanced techniques, medifacials (peels), dermal stamping, rolling and PRP, but is also trained in sclerotherapy and dermal fillers, particularly fine line fillers.

Julie Morgan

Practice Manager

Julie Morgan completes the team at Clinique Elan. In her role as the Practice Manager, Julie runs the business side of the practice. She works at the front desk as well as managing staff and all the financial aspects. Julie and Deborah worked together several years ago, so Julie already had some experience as well as good insight into the Appearance Medicine industry. Julie's other past working experience includes teaching computer skills, working as a receptionist in a busy valuers office, and data collection with the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust. The skills she acquired in these roles have proved invaluable in her role at Clinique Elan. Combined with her professional and friendly manner, she is an essential and well respected member of the team.
